As construction progresses along I-80 and I-680 in the Omaha metro,
all lanes of I-80 are now open, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT).  With completion of the eastbound I-80 bridges, motorists can anticipate a reduction in traffic congestion.

Intermittent lane closures may still be needed throughout the summer.

As work continues, the US-275/N-92 (“L” Street) Collector-Distributor (CD) Road at Exit 445 will now have lane closures for pavement marking to I-80 eastbound and I-680 northbound traffic.  Pavement marking was recently completed on the L Street eastbound and westbound off ramps with traffic back to normal.

Motorists are reminded that the I Street and L Street on ramps to the CD Road will remain closed until the work on northbound I-680 and West Center Road is completed in September 2019.  These improvements are necessary to provide a safe and reliable transportation system.

Motorists are urged to drive cautiously through construction zones, along detours and selected alternate routes.  Please visit www.511.nebraska.gov for the most up-to-date travel information.  Omaha area travelers can stay up-to-date on construction projects by visiting the NDOT’s Moving the Metro website at
