Iowa Congressman David Young has announced dates and locations for the Third Annual Iowa Veterans Care Fairs.
The yearly resource fairs organized by Young bring veteran oriented agencies and organizations into the same space to provide attendees with a “one stop shop” of different services, programs and resources available to Iowa veterans from all levels of government and service organizations.
“Our nation owes a great deal to those who have served and sacrificed,” said Congressman Young. “It's our duty to show our gratitude to the men and women who answered the call to serve. These yearly Care Fairs are one small piece of that gratitude.”
While there are numerous organizations and government agencies in Iowa whose goal is to assist veterans, sometimes accessing all of these resources can be overwhelming for veterans and their families.
Congressman Young encourages community organizations committed to our veterans to participate in the fairs. Organizations wanting to participate in the fairs should contact Congressman Young's Des Moines office at (515) 282-1909.
Last year, over 40 organizations participated in the Veterans Care Fairs. The fairs are free and open to the public.
