NAUVOO, Ill. — SS. Peter and Paul School in Nauvoo, Illinois, will host its 20th annual God’s Portion Day auction June 2. It is the school’s largest fundraiser.

Continental breakfast begins at 9 a.m. with the live auction starting at 10:30 a.m. Dan and  Jim Sullivan, from Sullivan Auctioneers, will lead the auction. There are many fun events scheduled throughout the day including a bucket auction and a hat auction, in which 10 buckets and 16 hats will be sold. Two of the hats and one bucket will reveal the big winners. The bucket winner will receive a brand new John Deere mower, and the two hat winners will receive either an iPad,  or a television.

Other items to be auctioned include: concert tickets, dinner parties, coolers, patio sets, harvest table, arts and crafts basket, Legos, children’s toys, camping basket, grill, smoker, seed beans, event tickets, rock, many gift certificates and many more can’t miss items! All of the items have been generously donated through local businesses and families.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase all day long. Additional activities include Kids Zone, student presentations of homemade projects, quilt raffle and tuition raffle. Check out the God’s Portion Day 2019 Facebook event page for updates and more photos of donated items.

Tuition raffle tickets are available at the school or from any student. Tickets are $1 each. Prizes include a half-year free tuition, free registration fee, free lunch for the year, or $50 toward a uniform shirt purchase. Winners will be drawn at the auction, but need not be present to win.

Quilt raffle tickets are currently available at the State Bank of Nauvoo, at the school or from any student. Tickets are $5 and only 200 tickets will be sold. The quilt was donated by the Piecemaker Quilt Club and is displayed at the State Bank of Nauvoo. Winner will be drawn at the auction but need not be present to win.

The 2018 God’s Portion Day event raised more than $150,000.
