Josephine Jane (Conradi) Freeman, 91, passed away January 23, 2015 at her home in Tomball, TX. She was born on November 25, 1923 near Bennet, NE to John J. and Tena (Kolder) Conradi.

Josephine Jane (Conradi) Freeman, 91, passed away January 23, 2015 at her home in Tomball, TX. She was born on November 25, 1923 near Bennet, NE to John J. and Tena (Kolder) Conradi.

 

Josephine taught in Otoe County schools until her marriage to farmer and businessman Lyman A. Freeman on December 7, 1950.  The couple resided in Percival, IA until they moved to Nebraska City in 1979. In 2012, Josephine moved to Tomball, TX.

 

She is survived by son Alan and wife Linda of Sonoma, CA; daughter Amy (Freeman) Brawner of Cypress, TX; daughter Lu (Freeman) Lyons and Charles Mock of Ranchos de Taos, NM; three granddaughters Emma Freeman, Jessica Kytle, and Leah Freeman-Sloan; grandson Chris Zimdars and wife Nicole, and four great-grandchildren, Jack and Nola Zimdars, Logan and Paige Alexis Kytle.

 

Josephine will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

 

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Paul and Alfert Conradi, sisters Klasiene Dunkle and Sylvia Menniga, and granddaughter Alex Caitlin Lyons.

 

Interment will be at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City.

 

Josephine requested that no memorial services be held but the family suggests that memorials could be made to Percival Fire and Rescue, the Percival Community Church or the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nebraska City.
