Hemeter, Thompson run at state

Russell Hemeter and Andrew Thompson represented the Nishnabotna track and field programs at the Iowa State Track and Field Championships in Des Moines last week.
Hemeter ran 14th in the 400, 52.4, 10th in the 400 hurdles, 53.66, and seventh in the 800, 2:01.85.
Thompson ran 17th in the 1600 meter run, 4:50.15 and was 13th in the 3200 meter run, 10:08.34.
Dominique Fagan of Northern University High School won the 400, 52.4, while Nick Efkamp of Madrid won the 400 hurdles, 53.66, and Justin Meyer of Belmond Klemme won the 800, 1:58.
Connor Smock of Libson won the 1600 and 3200 meter races with times of 4:26.92 and 9:30.64.
