The Sidney Cowgirls are heading back to Cedar Rapids for state volleyball for the fourth consecutive year after defeating Pella Christian in the Regional Championship on Tuesday, October 30.

Score: 25-11, 25-6, 25-11.


Sidney was led by Kelsey Hobbie, who provided 14 kills during the 3-0 sweep.


Camryn McClintock came close to a double-double by adding nine kills and 10 digs.


Junior Makenna Jarosz had six kills; Presley Brumbaugh, five; Maddy Duncan, three.


Jaden Daffer led in digs with 15 and Olivia Larsen added 31 assists.


Sidney received the No. 3 seed and will take on Tri-Center who drew the No. 6 seed, on November 7, at Cedar Rapids.


The Cowgirls have faced Tri-Center twice this season and came out on top both times.


On September 1, the Cowgirls defeated the Trojans, 2-1, behind Camryn McClintocks 15 kills.


Sidney and Tri-Center met again on the 15th of September, where the Cowgirls won, 2-1.


Another familiar foe that will be competing in state is the 7th seeded Treynor Cardinals.  Sidney downed Treynor in mid-September, 2-1.


Sidney (38-2) will face Tri-Center (31-7) in the first round of the state tournament on November 7th.
