The Sidney Cowgirls reach win No. 20 and are the 2018 Corner Conference Champs, after they defeated Fremont-Mills 16-6. Camyrn McClintock earned the win by allowing two earned runs, on eight hits, in four and two thirds innings of work on July 5.

Sidney was leading 11-4 heading into the top of the sixth, where the Cowgirls poured on five runs.  Fremont-Mills managed to score two runs in the bottom half of the sixth, but it was too little too late.

The Cowgirls showed aggressive base running as they stole 16 times.  Olivia Larsen, Sidnie Baier, and Danica Laumann each had three in the Cowgirls victory on July 5.


In this contest, the Cowgirls had a big inning in the top half of the third by scoring six runs in a game that lasted four innings.


Larsen got the win in the circle by allowing three hits, one earned run, while striking out three in four innings.
