Shirley Ann Sebek, 62, of Dudley, Mo., died on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009 at the Westwood Hills Health Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was born on Jan. 17, 1947 in Hamburg to Victor and Ruth (Nahkunst) Moyer.
She lived at Dudley the past six months. She formerly lived in Tulsa, Okla., for about 30 years and spent her earlier years in Iowa.
She worked as a hair stylist. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of several Harley Davidson organizations.
She was a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol and organized many events for the American Legion in Tulsa.
She is survived by daughter Lisa Sebek-Hellard of Clairmore, Okla.; three sons, Patrick Sebek and wife Tracy of Doniphan, Mo., Jimmie Moore and wife Sharon of Dudley and John Sebek and wife Becky of Lake Cormorant, Miss.; her father, Victor Moyer of Hamburg; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, John Moyer of Hamburg and Ralph Smith of Vista, Calif.; sister Janice Rice of Tabor; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Moyer.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Hamburg Cemetery with Rev. Sara Malone officiating. Inurnment will follow the services.
Memorials are suggested to the Hamburg American Legion.
