Edna E. McDonald, age 87, of Nebraska City passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018, at her daughter Kathy’s home in Nebraska City.
Edna was born on Nov. 22, 1930, in Plattsmouth; the daughter of George Garland and Almeta Isabelle (Robinson) Forbes.  She was married to Loyad D. McDonald on September 4, 1948 in Pickett, Ark., and to this union nine children were born.   The couple was later divorced.
Edna worked many years as a nurses aid and as an in home caregiver in Missouri where she lived.  She also worked as a Cook at the Masonic Home in Plattsmouth.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children:  Patric L. McDonald of Nebraska City; Suzen Written of Hartville, Mo.; Kathy Shank of Nebraska City; Karen Fritschle of Nebraska City; Carla Jones of Ironton, Mo.; Dona McDonald of Park Hills, Mo.; Ronald McDonald of Park Hills, Mo.; Joe McDonald of Ironton, Mo.; and Mike McDonald of Tecumseh; 25 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sisters:  Glenna Camden of Robinson, Ill.; Hazel Tiggs of Bullhead City, Ariz.; Cecelia England of Hermiston, Ore.; and Caroline Otto of Ontario, Canada; other family and friends.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Clarence Forbes and George Forbes, Jr.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth with Rev. Ken West officiating. Burial will follow the services.
