John Junior Lingle, 88 of Otoe, passed away June 25, 2017, at the Ambassador in Nebraska City.
He was born on May 22, 1929, to John and Emma (Neumeister) Lingle in Talmage. Junior married Delores Ann Lockman on April 26, 1950, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Otoe.
He was a farmer and also worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the fire dept. and served on the town council in Otoe. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and wood working.
Junior is survived by his son: Steve (Barbara) Lingle of Weeping Water; grandson: Aaron (Amanda) and great granddaughters: Paige, Reese and Kylie Lingle of Springfield; special friend: Joann Sauberzweig of Otoe; also nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister and brother-in-law: Eva Mae and Maynard Rippe.
Funeral services were to be held on Wednesday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Otoe. Burial was to be in the Avoca cemetery.
Visitation was to be on Tuesday, June 27, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice.
