Vera Evon Dyke, 92, of Sidney, Iowa, died Jan. 25, 2012 at the Ambassador - Sidney. She was born July 27, 1919 in Scottville, Ill., to Avery Otis and Mary Celia (Hettick) Dugger. She married Glen Odell Dyke on March 21, 1947 at Holton, Kan.
John Howard Rossean, 88, of Hemet, Calif., for the last 25 years, died Dec, 20, 2011 at the Devonshire Care Center in Hemet. He was born July 22, 1923 in Tarkio, Mo., and raised in Hamburg. He was the son of the late Estille (Eck) Rossean and the late Blanche Bolin Rossean. He married Avis Ocean in Monterey Park, Calif., while stationed out of Long Beach.
Dana Arlene Brown Nahkunst, 86, of Hamburg died at the Ambassador in Sidney Dec. 29, 2011. She was born on March 6, 1925 at the Hamburg Hospital to Maureen K. (McMunn) and Hubert L. Brown.
Innis M. “Tiny” (Brown) Gardner, 88, of Riverton, Iowa, died Jan. 14, 2012 at Duff’s Friendship Villa in Nebraska City. She was born on Oct. 13, 1923 in Hamburg to Ray Monroe and Addie Josephine (Smith) Brown. She married Arnold Gardner on Dec. 14, 1947 in Sidney, Iowa.
Lyle Douglas Green, 63, son of Roy Orsen and Mable Dorothy (Dahlgren) Green, was born on May 20, 1948 at Hamburg Hospital. He died Jan. 10, 2012 on the family farm north of Shenandoah.
Phillip C. Barrett, 51, of Hamburg, died Jan. 9, 2012 at his home. He was born on Dec. 16, 1960 in Hamburg to Billy and Edna Josephine (Buttermore) Barrett.
John R. Beatty, 76, of St. Joseph, Mo., died Dec. 28, 2011 at the Cameron Veteran’s Home. He was born Feb. 13, 1935 to Rolla E. and Lou Ella (Daniels) Beatty in Sapulpa, Okla.
Robert Carl Rose, 95, of Hamburg died Dec. 28, 2011 at the Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg. He was born on Sept. 17, 1916 at rural Hamburg to Robert Ernest and Sophie Fredericke Alvina (Driever) Rose. He attended country school then Hamburg High School.

Joe A. Moore 63, of St. Joseph, Mich., died Dec. 9, 2011 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. He was born Sept. 6, 1948 in Alliance, Neb., to Max and Gladys (Reynolds) Moore. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1967.
Lois Marie Brown, 80, of Nebraska City died Dec. 7, 2011 at Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln. She was born Sept. 16, 1931 in Hamburg to Mack and Irene (Mounce) Owen. She married Lawrence “Brownie” Brown on Oct. 10, 1951 at Nebraska City.

Funeral services for Harriette Irene Gordon, 81, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at the Sidney United Methodist Church with Rev. Jaye Johnson officiating. There will be no viewing. Visitation with family will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church.

Barbara W. Fichter, 80, of Riverton, Iowa, died Nov. 8, 2011 at her home following an extended illness. She was born Jan. 18, 1931 in Thurman, Iowa, to Hugh Lynn Greenwood and Elsie Elaine (Howard) Greenwood. On Oct. 8, 1950, she was married to Donald Dean Fichter in Clarinda, Iowa.
Darrell D. Perry, 76, of Hamburg died Oct. 31, 2011 at Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg. Darrell was born on June 2, 1935 in Watson, Mo., to Wayne and Sara (Oslin) Perry. He married Mary Lourisa Snyder on Jan. 9, 1998 in Kansas City, Mo. He served honorably in the Army from Oct. 29, 1954 to Oct. 28, 1957.
Mary Kathryn Zuck, 90, of rural Rock Port, Mo., died Nov. 5, 2011 at the Ambassador in Sidney. She was born on Sept. 6, 1921 in Hamburg to Charles
Franklin and Maude Anna (Gude) Henderson. She
graduated from Hamburg High School in 1940. She was the first homecoming queen at Hamburg High School.
Paul Allen Bashaw, 66, of Hamburg, died Nov. 3, 2011, at his home. He was born on Jan. 23, 1945 (or 12345 as he often responded when asked his birth date) in Clarinda to Edward Bashaw and Dorothy (Wilson) Bashaw.
Ricarda V. “Ricki” Borrego, 90, of Hamburg, died Nov. 5, 2011 at Duff’s Friendship Villa in Nebraska City. She was a former resident of Nash, Texas. She was born on Oct. 11, 1921 in Manor, Texas, to Augustine and Dolores (Iruegas) Ramierez. She married Tomas Borrego on Feb. 14, 1942 in Elgin, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2009.
James R. Price, 66, Lincoln, died Oct. 21, 2011. He was born March 28, 1945 in Phelps City, Mo., to Cecil Raymond and Mamie Ella (Wooten) Price.
