Raymond Dean Moody, age 66, of Climax Springs, Mo., formerly Hamburg, passed away on Feb. 14, 2018, at his home.
He was born on May 29, 1951, in Nebraska City; the son of Orvis E. and Lois Marilyn (Hilger) Moody.  He attended school in Hamburg  and graduated from the Hamburg High School with the class of 1969.
He attended Tarkio College before entering the United States Air Force on Jan. 14, 1971. On Sept. 18, 1971, Dean was united in marriage to Patsy Marie Stenzel in Hamburg and to this union twin sons were born: Kevin Dean and Scott Allen.  After his honorable discharge on Jan. 13, 1975.   He returned home and farmed before starting his own business, Ideal Insurance Agency in Hamburg.  He retired in 2013 and Dean and Pat moved to Lake of the Ozarks to enjoy life.
Dean loved his family.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Kiwanis and the Chamber of Commerce for which he served as President.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pat Moody of Climax Springs; sons:  Kevin D. Moody and wife Julie of Omaha, and Scott A. Moody and wife Janet of St. Joseph, Mo.; six grandchildren:  Brayden, Gracie, Rylan, Ella, Treyton and Jaelynn;  his mother Lois Moody of Hamburg; sister Cheryl Phillips and husband Larry of Hamburg; brothers:  Mike Moody and wife Kathy of Hamburg and Kenny Moody and wife Lauri of Gothenburg; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Lisa Kay Moody.
 Services were held Monday (2/19) at 10:30 a.m. at Rash-Gude Funeral Home with burial in the Hamburg Cemetery.  Military honors were conducted by the Hamburg American Legion.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to all for the comfort and support during this sad and difficult time. A memorial fund is being established in Dean’s memory. Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
