There were 50 reservations for the Valentine dinner Friday, organized as a fund raiser for the middle school students’ summer trip to Washington, DC.
Upon entering  the school, there was music playing to greet guests and the tables looked very festive, with the Valentine decorations, lighted candles and small hearts scattered on the table.
The middle school students were very capable servers and delivered the attractive plates with an inviting meal of pork loin, asparagus, potatoes, seven layer jello and a roll, with drinks.
Dessert was served after the meal. The tables were set in such a manner that conversation was easy to follow at each table.
The Family Consumer Science class, led by Mary Ann Stuart gave the students the learning opportunity to serve this dinner in a professional manner as part of the class. The meal was prepared with the help of Ms. Stuart, Vicki Hansen and  Matt Peters. The servers were: Ashley Hayes, Lincoln Osborne, Mason Brandt, Nick Peters, Jose Garcia, Kyle Beam and kitchen helpers Haylee Barrett, Dylon Barrett, Lizette Avalos and Gabe Richardson.
