The following is the Fremont County Sheriff's report for the Nov. 17 Hamburg Reporter.
Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that on the early morning hours of Nov. 10, the Fremont County K9 unit was conducting a narcotics investigation in the Sidney and Farragut area. During the investigation, a vehicle was stopped on 370th Ave. and Manti r Rd. by Farragut. As a result of the traffic stop, 21 year old Jared Comstock of Farragut and 20 year Alix Gorby of Shenandoah were arrested. Both parties were arrested for the delivery of a controlled substance and also found to be in possession of a controlled substance during the traffic stop. They were both transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center being held on $6,000 cash bond. The sheriff expects more arrests to transpire from this investigation. The Fremont County Sheriffs Office was assisted by the Tabor Police Department.
On Nov. 8, at approximately 4:44 p.m., deputies with the Fremont County K9 Unit stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Western Avenue near Bartlett.
Deputies made contact with Deavan Donner, age 24 of Omaha and Nicole Frieze, age 24 of Omaha, as well as two small children.
Deputies observed the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. Deputies located marijuana and drug paraphernalia used in the ingestion of both marijuana and methamphetamine, inside the vehicle. Deputies also located drug paraphernalia and narcotics concealed inside a diaper bag. Both parties were arrested for two counts of Child Endangerment, possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Deavan was also arrested for Driving While Barred, Habitual Violator. Both parties were held at the Fremont County Jail, pending initial appearance with the Magistrate.
