St. John’s Episcopal Church of Shenandoah will start its Red Door Series on Sunday Sept. 10 from 2-4 p.m.
The Red Door Series is a speaker’s bureau on topics presented by people who are involved in these fields.
The first of the Red Door Series will be: “The Numbers: SW Iowa’s current forecast for preconception, prenatal and childhood outcome” presented by Dr. Jessica Prusa Ob/Gyn, Shenandoah Medical Center.
A speaker presentation will be followed by a question and answer time.
Those who attend are asked to respect the sanctity of this church and come with an open-mind.
Other subjects for future Red Door Series are: “Opioids in SW Iowa: A rural epidemic” (Nov. 12) “Future SW Iowa: A discussion from area youth about what they need and what the can contribute for this community” (Feb., 11) and “Human Trafficking: It is happening in our backyard” (April 8).
St. John’s Episcopal Church is located at 401 Church Street, Shenandoah Iowa. There is no charge for admission.
