The City of Hamburg installed a new digital LED sign at City Park, replacing the old sign that had been in place for over fifty years.
The new sign was made by CD Sign Design in Lorton, Nebraska.
Owner Craig Davis and his  son Brad Davis used a crane to install it on Monday morning, Aug. 14.
The sign they removed was made by Craig’s father, Ray A. Davis.
Hamburg Hometown Pride worked on getting  the new sign for a year, raising $12,000 toward the effort. The City contributed an additional $8,000 to help make it a reality.
City Clerk Sheryl Owen will be in charge of programming the information that appears of the display.
