Casey Wenstrand, County Youth Coordinator with Fremont County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, has been working hard, along with Fremont County 4-H Council members, to plan a summer full of amazing learning opportunities!
A Careers Daycamp is set from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Marnie Simons Elementary School.
"What are you going to be when you grow up?  Here is your chance to explore different careers while having fun with friends!  Spend the day networking with others your age, attending a mini career fair, and much more.
Sponsored in partnership with Hamburg CSD 21st Century Grant.
Please bring a sack lunch.  Snacks will be provided.
A Fine Arts Daycamp is planned for Wednesday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fremont County Fairgrounds in Sidney.
The camp is designed for children who have completed kindergarten through third grade.
Fine Arts is so much more than hot glue and sequins--studying the arts can also improve school performance and can even lead to high-paying jobs.
For this camp, we're also bringing in the Virtual Reality Flex Trailer from ISU.  It's definitely as awesome as it sounds.
Please bring a sack lunch.  Snacks will be provided.
An Owl Camp is planned for Wednesday, June 21, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Washawtee Lodge in Waubonsie State Park.
This camp is designed for students who have completed third through sixth grades.
Are you looking for a hootin' good time?  'Owl' be glad to have you at the Owl Day Camp!  Hoot around with real, live owls, dissect an owl pellet, and prowl for owls at Waubonsie State Park!
This camp is sponsored by a generous grant from Cargill Cares. Dinner and snacks will be provided.
Campers do not have to be enrolled in 4-H to attend daycamps.
Non-4-H members must complete an Iowa 4-H Medical Information/Release Form.
The cost of each camp is $20 per child and $15 for each additional child within the same family.
Registration is due one week prior to each camp.
