The school communities of Farragut and Hamburg will be holding open house for all patrons of the Nishnabotna school community.
The purpose of these building open houses is to allow the citizens of both districts to view and evaluate the various learning centers available in the Nishnabotna community.
The school buildings in each district will be open from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 30. Members of the Sharing Leadership Team will be present in each building to answer questions and provide guidance as citizens go on their walk throughs.
Individuals will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire/rubric pertaining to the topics that relate to the features/characteristics that each building possesses and how these may serve as strengths and/or drawbacks to the building’s ability to offer an all encompassing education for the age/grade levels it houses.
Community participation in these school building open houses is important, said school officials. The more information and perspectives that can be obtained, the more prepared each member of the Hamburg Board of Education and the Farragut Board of Education will be to make decisions and plan for the future of the students’ education and learning opportunities.
